Ages ago (read: August of this year) I said I wanted to redraw a certain picture that I drew back in 2010. As I said before, that piece has serious sentimental value for me because it was the first piece of art I ever showed my fiance. He was a total stranger to me on February 9th, 2010, but he saw my Avenged Sevenfold t-shirt, dark make up and crazy hair and we’ve been together ever since. I’ve always felt I owed The Rev and A7X a lot since then, because I probably wouldn’t have met the love of my life if I hadn’t worn that shirt in remembrance of The Rev.
Thank you Rev, for being an amazing person, and A7X, for being an amazing band with an amazing fanbase.
That said, I think it’s safe to say there’s been a bit of improvement between 2010 and now, though I certainly haven’t made heaps of improvement in the last (nearly) three years. I’m still making a lot of the same mistakes and I still have a lot of bad habits to break, but I hope it’s clear that I’ve tried to make a little effort to get better at drawing.
